Sometimes an electrocardiogram, echocardiogram, exercise stress test or nuclear stress test is sufficient to make a diagnosis and come up with a treatment plan. Other times, we may recommend cardiac imaging.
Cardiac imaging is the process of getting a thorough picture of your heart for diagnostic purposes. Though the imaging process is low risk and non-invasive, these procedures are often performed in a hospital or outpatient medical setting.
